Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research

Research-based advice,
in every farmer's hands.

EIAR Farmer Outreach is EIAR's central advisory source. Researchers publish video, audio and printed guidance here; farmers receive it instantly in the Agrimob app, beside AI-powered and expert advice.

How It Works

From the Research Station to the Field in Three Steps

1

Capture or Link

Upload field video, audio guidance and printed material, or paste a link to where it already lives.

2

File and Describe

Add the topic, the language, the region and the credits so farmers can find it and trust it.

3

Review and Publish

A content manager approves the item and it goes live in Agrimob for farmers across Ethiopia.

Built for Outreach

Everything Needed to Carry Research to the Farmer

One Source of Advice

Guidance from every research centre and commodity programme, gathered in one place instead of scattered across channels.

Stream from the Hub or the Web

Upload video and audio to stream from EIAR's own storage, or link material already on YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, TikTok or Telegram.

Delivered through Agrimob

Published items appear in the advisory section of Agrimob, beside AI-powered and expert advice.

In the Farmer's Language

Every item carries its language — Amharic, Afaan Oromoo, English and more — so farmers are offered advice they can follow.

Filed by Topic

A topic tree — crop, livestock, soil, season — that staff curate and farmers browse.

Reviewed before It Reaches the Field

Contributors draft; content managers review and publish. Nothing reaches farmers until it has been approved.

About EIAR Farmer Outreach

Turning EIAR's research into advice farmers can use today.

Improved varieties, agronomic practice, pest and disease control, livestock and soil management. Staff add media by uploading it or linking what is already on the web, file it under a topic, and publish. From that moment it is available to farmers in Agrimob.
